Ecological Assessment and Monitoring

Basic ecological surveys and assessment should be a part of any comprehensive environmental assessment or impact assessment.  Depending on the results of the initial survey, follow up surveys, mitigation measures and/or monitoring may be indicated.  With their own personnel or from Specialist Associates in S.E. Asia, Middle East and UK, CWI can offer and coordinate:

Ecological Assessment Surveys: To demonstrate and communicate an understanding of the facility and its operations and some of the HSE controls across them.

Ecological Monitoring Surveys: To demonstrate and communicate an understanding of the facility and its operations and some of the HSE controls across them.

Wildlife Observers: Sometimes defined as an essential control for especially seismic or drilling operations in sensitive environments. May include:

  • General Wildlife Monitoring - onshore or offshore.

  • Marine Mammal Surveys - to identify the need for curtailment of activities (if a part of permits) and/or to monitor the longer term impact on populations and migration behavior

  • Bird Surveys - .
